Virtual Groups and Workshops

Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) offers virtual groups and drop-in workshops for students via Zoom. If you are interested in a specific group, or are unsure of which group is a good fit for you, please email CAPS’s Group coordinator, Taghi Amjadi at For workshops, please see below for the appropriate registration link.

Virtual Groups

Body Positive

A drop-in group that helps students explore feelings about their body image.  Through activities, discussion, and utilizing media we explore finding ways of improving your relationship with your body, food and exercise.  Students may attend as often as they would like. Each session will address a different topic.  Open to all bodies. No screening is required.

Managing My Moods, A Depression Workshop Series

A 3-part series that will equip students with tools for tackling depression and tracking changing moods while building long-term coping skills. Initial screening with facilitator required prior to joining the group.

Healthy Relationships

This series of workshops is designed to help people develop healthy relationships, whether those relationships are friendships, partnerships, or hook-ups. Each month’s workshop will discuss a specific topic to help explore and improve relationships.

Creative Stress Reduction Workshop

Come to this weekly workshop to bring down your stress!  We will be doodling, cartooning, writing, playing games, and using physical movement. No prior experience needed; we’ll make this totally easy and accessible.

LGBTQ+ and Questioning Drop-In

An open support group for students who identify as LGBTQ+, including intersex, asexual, and/or pansexual, to have a safe space to talk and build a sense of community.  Discussion topics are developed by group members and can include intersectionality of identity, coming out, relationships, dating, transitioning, harassment, discrimination, and acceptance.   Drop in or come as often as you like!
